The 4-payment option is always interest-free. For monthly plans, your APR will be displayed transparently at checkout before you commit to anything.

Complete your order. Your first payment is charged today. The remaining payments are automatically processed on schedule — no action needed from you.

Eligibility

Who can use Shop Pay Installments?

Shop Pay Installments is available to most customers in the United States. Here's what you need to know.

  • Available to U.S. residents only with a valid U.S. billing address.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • A valid debit or credit card is required for automatic payments.
  • Approval is subject to a soft credit check by Affirm (Shop Pay's lending partner) — this does not impact your credit score.
  • The 4-payment plan is available on orders between $50 and $3,000. Monthly plans are available for higher-value orders.
Shop Pay Installments is powered by Affirm. Your payment schedule is managed directly in your Shop Pay account — you can view upcoming payments at any time.
Common Questions

A few things people ask.

Does paying in installments affect my credit score? +
Selecting Shop Pay Installments triggers a soft credit check by Affirm, which does not impact your credit score. If you choose a monthly plan with interest, a hard credit pull may occur — this will be disclosed before you confirm.
What happens if I return my order? +
If your return is approved, any future installment payments will be canceled and payments already made will be refunded to your original payment method. Refunds may take 3–10 business days to appear.
Can I pay off my balance early? +
Yes. You can pay off your remaining balance at any time through your Shop Pay account with no prepayment penalty.
What if a payment fails? +
If a scheduled payment fails, Shop Pay will notify you and attempt to retry. Late fees may apply depending on your plan. We recommend keeping your payment information up to date in your Shop Pay account.
